2016 Country Fair
Saturday, 10 September 2016
The annual Country Fair is the largest event in the College fundraising calendar and one of the largest in the region. We average around 3,500 visitors to the Fair each year.
New attractions for 2016 included:
- Helicopter joy flights
- Australian Medieval Combat displays
- All new animal displays - sheep shearing and Dancing Dogs
- Farm Friends Petting Farm
- KidZone - $10 wristband includes a face paint, jumping castle, plaster painting activity, colouring in, balloon model, popper/water and a lolly bag
- and much, much more!
Old favourites returned, including a large array of marketplace stalls selling everything from knitwear and crafts to fresh flowers, plants, jewellery and fine foods. Visitors enjoyed a fresh salad or something from our bbq in the shade and admired our beautiful landscaped native gardens.
The talented College music, vocal and dance ensembles performed throughout the day as background to the varied Community displays and many other attractions. Visitors took part in our competitions, from budding bakers to keen photographers. Kids squealed with delight on the fairground rides, provided by Joylands Amusements which were better than ever this year.
As dusk fell, people enjoyed some supper as they were entertained by local bands on the live stage before heading down for the Fireworks Spectacular.
Thank you to all who shared the day with us - it was a great Wollondilly day!
