New Building Naming

The decision has been made to name our new Stage 12 building – Quarmby Cottage.

Historically the criteria used to name our buildings has been based on Christian pioneers. Dr Quarmby meets the criteria by founding a College in an area where demographers indicated there was insufficient population to sustain an independent school. The forecast was that the College would struggle to exceed more than 400 students by 2020.

Dr Quarmby’s vision and leadership, over 17 years as the Foundation Headmaster, have been significant factors in the growth of the College to where it is today.
Quarmby Cottage will be a reminder of Dr Quarmby’s legacy and his contribution to the College over his years of service.
