Dear Parents, Carers & Students of Year 7 2025
Join us on Tuesday, 4 February 2025 from 5.15 pm under the Shoulder to Shoulder Shelter for the Year 7 Community and Connection Information Evening.
Strong parent-school partnerships are a crucial way to support children’s learning, development and wellbeing. This valuable connection will help your child to maximise their learning potential and get the most out of the numerous opportunities they will have as a student at the College.
This evening is an important step in forming relations which will allow the College to support families with their transition into Secondary and assist students with excelling in the areas of Learning, Care and Culture.
To celebrate the start of Year 7, Year 12 Hospitality students will be serving pulled pork rolls in the College BBQ area from 5.15 pm. On arrival, students will need to locate their Care and Culture teacher to have their names marked off. Students are required to wear their College Summer Uniform or College Sport Uniform.
At 6.00 pm there will be a brief presentation by College staff, outlining key information related to ways in which you can support your child with successfully starting Secondary at WAC. Following this, parents/carers and students will also be able to speak directly with Secondary Leaders of Learning to ask any questions that they may have about their subject area, sport, creative and performing arts or extracurricular opportunities.
We are very much looking forward to meeting with you. If you have any questions regarding this event, please reach out to one of us.
