Years 7-12
Growing into Young Adults
The Secondary Years build upon the quality learning that has come before in Primary
Students are taught by specialist teachers, with each child being valued as an individual and encouraged to achieve their God-given potential. The Secondary Years Program challenges students to think deeply about the world in which they live and how they can be value-based and ethical contributors to it. Students are equipped with the ability to think critically and respond to challenges through the development of problem-solving skills.
A Wollondilly education seeks to give young people purpose in this world, equipping them with the capacity to think critically and problem-solve within a spirit of empathy and care for their fellow citizens. Skills necessary to thrive in society.

Our Culture of Learning
Learning at Wollondilly seeks to answer the question of who we are and how we can contribute to society in a meaningful and purposeful way.
Students are challenged to pursue knowledge and appreciate the gift of learning in God’s world. Academic excellence is a distinctive feature of the College and students are encouraged to pursue their personal best through an engaging curriculum. Our aim is to inspire motivated learners. Self-regulation is highly valued and students are encouraged to work alongside staff and peers to develop responsibility for their own learning. There is a strong culture in which students celebrate their own and other people’s success.
Beyond The Classroom
Beyond the classroom, there are numerous co-curricular and extra-curricular opportunities for students to grow while developing their passions, skills and character.
Some of these opportunities include Debating and Public Speaking, Tournament of Minds, external competitions, overseas tours, Streamwatch, Crystal Growing and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme.
Sports
Secondary students have an opportunity to be involved in weekly competitive sports against other Independent Schools including Cricket, Oz Tag, Basketball, Volleyball, Softball, Soccer, Netball, Rugby League and AFL.
Pathways also exist for students in a variety of sports through to the National level. Students compete in College Carnivals for Cross Country, Swimming and Athletics. Students who perform well may qualify to represent the College at NASSA, AICES, NSWCIS and National levels. Team sport pathways also exist through to the National level for most sports in Secondary.
HSC Results
We are immensely proud of the results our HSC students consistently bring to the College each and every year.
Students at Wollondilly and persistent and resilient learners who are taught to pursue greatness in all that they do.
Grounds & Facilities
Our state-of-the-art facilities are designed to offer and equip our students with the tools and resources they need to succeed in all that they do.
Classrooms are grouped around large Libraries in each building, providing immediate access to resources when required. Specialised centres for Science, Technology, Hospitality, Dance, Drama, Music and Creative and Performing Arts ensure our students are well-equipped to excel in whichever direction they pursue. Our Years 11-12 students are situated on their own building with access to specialised classrooms, Library, amphitheatre, kitchenette and multi-purpose sports court.
Student Leaders
Student Leadership at WAC is focused on a servant leadership model.
Students complete a nomination for the Captain roles. Student involvement in all areas of the College is reviewed as part of the process. The involvement of students in Community Service activities and College Events is highly regarded.
A vote that encompasses their direct peer group, wider peer group and the staff of the College is used as the process for electing the Captains.
Future Focused – Digital Citizens
A future-focused approach to learning in the Secondary Years is making learning visible to the students so they can construct meaning from their learning. The current generation of students are often considered digital natives. Teachers at Wollondilly recognise this, and through the ‘MyTech’ (1:1 Device) program, have carefully incorporated technological pedagogies to enhance learning and develop digital citizenship.
New Senior Precinct
Students in Years 11 & 12 at Wollondilly Anglican College have been enjoying their brand new multi-purpose outdoor area! With 6 kitchenettes, 2 BBQs, 2 table tennis tables and an interactive smart screen, our Senior students are fully equipped to learn, study and grow to their God-given potential.
