Community Involvement
WAC Kids Care
From time to time, families undergo trauma such as severe or terminal illness.
There are short-term structures in place at the College to assist families during these times.
The WAC Kids Care program offers practical support to several families at the College, in combination with local churches and local schools preparing food boxes and meals to assist these families.
Students meet every week to cook delicious meals in bulk to support our local community
Thirlmere Festival of Steam
Wollondilly Anglican College is a proud supporter of the Thirlmere Festival of Steam.
Each year, students represent the College by providing quality entertainment with performances by our College Band, College String ensemble, Choirs and Solo performers. Students also man our College stall, engaging with the broader community.
A highlight of the Festival is the Street Parade on which our talented Dance Ensembles represent the College through their impressive skills.
ANZAC Day
Each year, students from the College actively participate in their local community ANZAC Day Services, marching and even delivering a speech for those gathered.
The College also holds an internal service where students are encouraged to remember and pay respect to the many veterans and fallen.
Illuminate Wollondilly
Wollondilly Anglican College is a proud supporter of Illuminate Wollondilly which is a creative arts festival held in Picton.
Our students are among many wonderful performers to hit the stage to entertain the large crowds that come to the festival.
As night falls, an amazing range of local artworks are projected onto landmark buildings throughout Picton, providing students from the College the opportunity to showcase their work.
Foundation Day
In 2004, the College was opened by the then Prime Minister, the Hon John Howard.
In each subsequent year, we are thankful for being a part of such a blessed country and celebrate by raising funds for those who are less fortunate around the globe.
The focus of Foundation Day is remembering those who are less fortunate around the globe while raising funds for mission and charity groups.
